No Strike. Seems that everything is worked out, for now at least. So Dot is at school, but LB is not.
He's home because he woke up last night around 2:00am and was in the middle of an asthma attack. He was coughing and his nose was so plugged up he couldn't really breath. That really sucks. If you or I woke up with a nose in that condition we would just blow it and go back to sleep. But LB doesn't have the ability to blow his nose. I have to use an aspirator on him (a little bulb syringe that I stick up his nose and use to suck the snot out, I guess that's why the kids call it the snot sucker).
I'm tired, because I didn't get to go back to bed. After the trauma of getting his snot sucked out, he only wanted to sit with his Mama and be held. He's still in this 'hold me Mama' phase, I've managed to slip away for a few seconds to type this up and sip my first tea of the day in peace.
Normally I would have had my first tea about 3 and a half hours ago. But I've been holding LB and trying to get the other two out the door as well as getting the recycling put outside. Thank god for LB and his ability to take out the recycling.
Speaking of LB, I'm expecting a phone call at some point today about that cell phone thing. Again, I'm not paying. 10 year old kids should not be bringing cell phones to school. It's against the rules, his Mom knows that, she is a teacher afterall. And EB instists that it was an accident. It wasn't like he smacked the thing out of this boys hand and broke it on purpose.
And what about those 2 Canadians that were killed in Mexico? The parents of a bride that had flown down there with their daughter to celebrate her wedding that was supposed to have taken place today. There is something is fishy there. The reports state that they had their throats slashed with a kitchen knife by 2 Canadian women who immediately fled Mexico and have returned up here to Canada.
Something about this has sounded fishy to me since I heard the first report of it.
But the dumbest thing I've heard about this one of the news shows (I believe it was on the CBC) was asking how safe those resorts were in Mexico? Are Canadians safe traveling there. I turned to Hubby and said "Yup, as long as you avoid other Canadians it would seem!" Stupid reporter!! Trying to stir up her ratings and sensationalize and attempt to build her career on the tragic deaths of those parents.
Oh wait, isn't that what most journalists do?
