Hello everyone,
Still no news on the 'What the Hell is wrong with my child?' front. But
we've started him on the prescription that the doctor gave us, and I'm hoping
that it's helping.
On the upside of all this, LB now knows that when he's in pain 'Tylenol' helps make everything alright again. How do we know this? Well today while Daddy was holding him, Daddy looked at me and said "Does he need another dose of Tylenol yet?" To which the little boy in his arms smiled and gave a little moan of satisfaction. I smiled at him and asked LB if he was hurting again, he indicated yes. So I went and fixed him some Tylenol and my little one became a little ball of sunshine.
So we've had less screaming than we've had all weekend. I figure it's because of the steady stream of antibiotics and pain killers that have been flowing into LB, plus the fact that I've been shoving him full of pudding and applesauce whenever I can. Yeah, you read that right. Pudding and applesauce are the only foods I can get into him that don't seem to make him break into crying jags and twitching fits that seem a reaction to attempting to swallow something that hurts going down.
I called the Doctor today, or actually the Hubby called to find out the test results, and we were told the Doctor would call us back. He called us back alright. At almost 7 in the evening, and it was only to report that the test results aren't in and that he's going to be away for a few days but there should be someone covering for him and maybe they can help us out. Gee, thanks you little sucker with a capital F on the front of that and the S removed of course. Was he able to tell us who is covering for him in his absence? Nope. Was he able to tell us who we should ask for to find out? No. He was pretty much useless. And considering my regular Doctor is his boss you think he would have had more care? I know that if I was calling someone who not only was a patient of my bosses, but someone who came in at least once or twice every few months, you think I'd be prepared when I called that patient.
I mean I'm already partly responsible for one staff member being shown the door, hope it didn't hit her on her way out. The nurse, who had been there for years tried to play little games with me, of course I complained to my Doc and after a few weeks of her playing these little games that wasted not only my time but the Docs as well, the lady was sent packing.
The house is dark and silent as I type this up right now. I'm sitting at the computer desk beside my Hubby who is playing World of Warcraft (big surprise there, huh?), I'm just sitting here with a very large mug of tea. Yes it is the Orange Pekoe kind, and no it wont be keeping me up for hours. The tea soothes me and makes me drowsy at this time of night. I predict that soon I shall be heading off to dreamy land for a nice night of sleep and hopefully a nice little dream or two.
Attention All Male Readers: Warning, the following is about female bits and a woman's cycle and some of the wonderful, glorious side effects that it produces. If this stuff holds no interest for you, or makes you squeamish, do not read any further. I repeat, DO NOT READ FURTHER!
Heh, heh, it's not really going to be all that bad. I just wanted to make those of the faint of heart twitch a bit.
But seriously now, does anybody else out there get painfully itchy nipples at the end of the month out there? (or whenever they get their pre-PMS at?) Mine get so bad I just want to rip the little suckers off my body and do a little dance of pain on their asses! If they had asses that is. I've tried pretty much everything out there that I can think of. This has just started to happen to me and I just don't know what to do anymore.
I can now feel the sleepiness beginning to creep over me. It could just be borscht induced. I made broscht for dinner (basically beet and cabbage soup) and I have to say that my borscht was a bust. Hubby hated it, EB wasn't overly fond of it. Dot ate it all, but that child will eat pretty much anything. Sometimes I wonder if she even has any tastebuds at all. LB didn't eat any, but I didn't expect him to. I ate it. But that's it. Guess I wont be making it anymore.
Wednesday are soup Wednesdays, any ideas on what sort of soup I should be trying next? A nice potato and leek soup might be nice, but my family is already wrinkling up their noses at it. sigh
By the way Art, this is Colin Firth.
He has performed in the following:
Valmont (1989) .... Valmont
"Pride and Prejudice" (1995) (mini) TV Series .... Mr. Fitzwilliam Darcy
The English Patient (1996) .... Geoffrey Clifton
Shakespeare in Love (1998) .... Lord Wessex
Bridget Jones's Diary (2001) .... Mark Darcy
The Importance of Being Earnest (2002) .... Jack
What a Girl Wants (2003) .... Henry Dashwood
Girl with a Pearl Earring (2003) .... Johannes Vermeer
Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason (2004) .... Mark Darcy
Nanny McPhee (2005) .... Cedric Brown now playing
These are just a few of the things he's worked in. He's bloody brilliant, his eyes are so expressive. He is able to mimic the look of a kicked puppy so well, it just makes you want to wrap your arms around him and hold him until everything is alright once more.
